Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Tech role performing basic to complex radiologic procedures and interventional imaging/treatment in IR, Neuro IR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or EP labs under physician supervision. Responsibilities include setting up sterile tables and instruments (catheters, guidewires, contrast), assisting Radiologists with catheters and devices, developing and implementing procedure/treatment plans per hospital protocols, documenting per policies, maintaining equipment and work areas, and participating in Performance Improvement activities. On-call and callback coverage required. Requires completion of an accredited radiography program and ARRT registration, plus BLS within 14 days of hire and state licensure as required; preferred candidates have 1 year as radiology technologist and 6 months IR/Cath lab/EP experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R)
- BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; New graduate will obtain required registry within 120 days as required; State license as required
- Registry in Vascular Interventional ARRT(VI)
- Minimum Required: Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year as a radiology technologist
- 6 months experience in IR/Cath lab/EP
- ARRT radiography registry (R)
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire
- State license as required
- Registry in Vascular Interventional ARRT (VI)
- Completion of radiography program accredited for ARRT
