Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct history and physical examinations, consults, and pre-procedure evaluations for patients undergoing diagnostic and image-guided procedures. Review imaging, labs, and clinical data to determine procedural appropriateness, then perform or assist with image-guided procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and lumbar punctures. Place and manage vascular access devices, including PICC lines and central venous catheters, while managing tube and drain procedures. Provide post-procedure care, patient monitoring, and follow-up coordination, assisting in triaging and prioritizing interventional radiology procedures. Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providers to support quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)
- Experience in diagnostic and image-guided procedures
- Patient evaluation skills
- Care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Ability to work under the supervision and/or collaborative agreement of designated supervising radiologist(s)
- History and physical examination skills
- Consultation skills
- Pre-procedure evaluation skills
- Imaging review skills
- Lab review skills
- Clinical data analysis skills
- Procedural appropriateness determination
- Image-guided procedure performance or assistance (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, lumbar punctures)
