Job Summary
Organize, prioritize, and monitor daily work activity to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant chart preparation and insurance authorization before patient visits. Contact patients by phone to schedule procedures, verify demographic and insurance information, and obtain necessary authorizations. Maintain acceptable productivity rates by documenting all data in appropriate system fields and following up on missing authorizations. Prepare patient charts including pre-procedure testing, history and physicals, consent forms, and physician orders prior to arrival.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a clinical setting such as medical practice
- Basic knowledge of health insurance
- Experience with prior authorization
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Medical assistant or other clinical related education
- Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution – Can identify and address problems before they become larger issues for customers or the organization
