Job Summary
Coordinate procedure-related clinical operations in the Interventional Radiology department, acting as the triage point for queries and add-on cases. Independently perform procedures in fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT under radiologist supervision; collaborate with IR physicians, radiology nursing, and clinical staff to prepare cases and update daily procedure boards. Provide direct patient care, education, and post-procedure guidance; manage pre-procedural instructions and scheduling; coordinate continuity of care with referring offices; supervise office staff and participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (Mon-Fri) across two regional sites with one randomized day off, and opportunities for moonlighting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nursing or related field
- Master’s degree
- CPR certification
- Connecticut RN license, must obtain permanent license within 90 days
- Certified by ANCC or AANP as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or (AG-ACNP) OR Physician Assistant - Licensed and Credentialed by the Connecticut Board of Physician Assistants
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
- DEA registration within 6 months of hire
- Controlled substance registration for practitioner
