Job Summary
Perform a broad spectrum of interventional procedures including vascular access, biopsies, drainages, and embolization within a community hospital setting. Interpret diagnostic imaging studies to support procedural planning and provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pre- and post-procedure patient evaluation. Collaborate closely with local care teams at MelroseWakefield Hospital, including surgery, emergency medicine, oncology, and primary care, while participating in multidisciplinary discussions and case reviews. Ensure thorough clinical documentation and provide clear patient education regarding procedures and follow-up plans. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and maintain strong collaboration with Tufts Medical Center faculty for optional academic activities. Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology is required.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
- Strong procedural and diagnostic skills applicable to a community hospital practice
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills
