Job Summary
Conduct peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a radiologist or physician, applying independent judgment for ionizing radiation. Assist with invasive procedures using aseptic technique, prepare and administer contrast materials, and maintain room readiness with approved cleaning protocols. Ensure radiation safety measures are utilized, implement emergency procedures as needed, and perform quality control tasks on equipment. Enter and record data accurately, stay current on departmental updates, and participate independently in call rotation. Requires one year of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology, with ARRT registration and SCRQSA certification for South Carolina. Works full-time days at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- One (1) year experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology
- ARRT registered
- BLS certification
- SCRQSA certification
- Able to operation diagnostic imaging equipment/computers
- Computer literate
- Able to treat patients of all ages
- Basic computer skills
- Data entry skills
- Mathematical skills
