Job Summary
Interventional Cardiology Physician role within Geisinger’s Heart & Vascular Institute, focusing on coronary interventions including CHIP with responsibilities spanning STEMI care, percutaneous coronary interventions, atherectomy, shockwave therapy, and a robust structural heart program featuring TAVR. The facility supports percutaneous insertion of mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO in the cath lab. Practice location at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, with System-wide collaboration among multiple campuses and a strong emphasis on outcomes research and education. Requires Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and PA medical licensure; board certification/eligibility in interventional cardiology; physician will join a large multidisciplinary team dedicated to advanced cardiac care and resident/fellow education.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Ability to perform percutaneous coronary interventions and related procedures
- Knowledge of STEMI care and cath lab procedures
- Experience with atherectomy, shockwave therapy, TAVR, and structural heart disease programs
- Familiarity with mechanical circulatory support devices and ECMO in cath lab
- Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical research
