Job Summary
Interventional Cardiology Physician sought for Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Board-certified or board-eligible interventional cardiologist with focus on coronary interventions including PCI and CHIP; experience in STEMI care, percutaneous coronary interventions, atherectomy, and shockwave therapy. Strong involvement in the institute's robust structural heart program including TAVR and the capability to insert mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO percutaneously in the cath lab. Ideal candidates will have training and experience in advanced interventional techniques and participate in multidisciplinary care across centers. Education: MD or DO required; PA medical license required. Skills include professional etiquette, patient care and procedural skills, and systems-based practice. The role supports the Geisinger Heart and Vascular Institute's mission across multiple campuses, including GMC Scranton, and emphasizes collaboration with cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, EMS, and related teams. Required Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible Interventional Cardiologist
- Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO)
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Experience: interventional cardiology with PCI, STEMI care, atherectomy, shockwave therapy, TAVR, ECMO capabilities
- Skills: Professional Etiquette; Patient Care And Procedural Skills; Systems-Based Practice
