Job Summary
Interventional Cardiologist to join Ballad CVA Heart Institute in Abingdon, VA. Practice in Johnston Memorial Hospital Cath Lab, equipped with state-of-the-art devices, and contribute to the 24/7 STEMI program. The team includes one invasive cardiologist and two interventional cardiologists with support from nurse practitioners and experienced staff. The role performs an average of 65 cath procedures per month (roughly 40 diagnostic and 25 interventional), including permanent pacemaker/ICD insertions, using devices such as Laser, Volcano, EKOS, CardioMEMs, Penumbra, IABP, and Impella. Additional program highlights include a regional STEMI transfer program, active clinical research, and a broad cardiovascular program with imaging and surgical capabilities.
