Job Summary

Interventional Cardiologist opportunity within the Phoenix VA Health Care System in Phoenix, AZ. Roles include providing interventional cardiology care to veterans, participating in VA-led research (including the Million Veterans Program) and collaboration with the University of Arizona and Dignity Health. The role supports the academic environment with fellowship/residency rotation, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) participation, CME benefits, and loan-repayment incentives. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with benefits and potential performance-based compensation; requires MD or equivalent, full unrestricted medical license, and board certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
  • Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
  • Board-certified (must be) to receive CME days off

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy
