Job Summary
Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist responsible for operating diagnostic/ interventional radiology equipment, assisting with left/right heart cath, angioplasty and coronary interventions, maintaining sterile technique, ensuring radiation safety, and producing high-quality images for radiologists. Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist (or registry eligible within one year) and hold or obtain ACLS certification within six months. Role requires coordination with radiology staff, preparation and positioning of patients, and adherence to departmental protocols for special procedures in a MEADVILLE, PA setting.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (or registry eligible, must pass within one year)
- Current ACLS certification or obtain within six months of assignment
- Professional knowledge of Radiology practice
- Completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Ability to set up sterile field and perform diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Ability to read orders and ensure correct tests and tests protocols for special procedures
- Ability to perform diagnostic x-ray and special procedures
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection policies
- Ability to work autonomously in absence of supervisors
- Maintains equipment and stays current with coding and billing practices
