Job Summary

Intervention Specialist position at Warder Park Wayne Elementary School within the Springfield City School District (Springfield, Ohio). Required Qualifications

  • Possesses or have applied for an Intervention Specialist license or have the ability to obtain a supplemental license as an Intervention Specialist issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Ability to lead professional development of school-wide restorative practices
  • Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions
  • Be willing to serve on teams
  • Have the ability to relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role
  • Ability to differentiate instruction
  • Accurately analyze data to plan instruction aligned to the common core State Standards
  • Instruct whole and small groups
  • Experience with writing standards-based IEPs
  • Use research-based pedagogy with background knowledge of standards
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction
  • Actively engaging at-risk students in learning process
  • Recognizing needs of individuals and groups and offering support
  • Working as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators
  • Utilizing technology to strengthen teaching/learning
  • Participating in professional development aligned with goals
