Job Summary
Intervention Specialist position at Warder Park Wayne Elementary School within the Springfield City School District (Springfield, Ohio). Required Qualifications
- Possesses or have applied for an Intervention Specialist license or have the ability to obtain a supplemental license as an Intervention Specialist issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
- Ability to lead professional development of school-wide restorative practices
- Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions
- Be willing to serve on teams
- Have the ability to relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Accurately analyze data to plan instruction aligned to the common core State Standards
- Instruct whole and small groups
- Experience with writing standards-based IEPs
- Use research-based pedagogy with background knowledge of standards
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction
- Actively engaging at-risk students in learning process
- Recognizing needs of individuals and groups and offering support
- Working as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators
- Utilizing technology to strengthen teaching/learning
- Participating in professional development aligned with goals
