Job Summary
Provide high-quality instruction and intervention for students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and co-teaching while implementing accommodations and specialized instruction. Develop, implement, and maintain all required special education documentation including IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, and 504 Plans. Coordinate and facilitate IEP, Evaluation Team, and intervention meetings in accordance with state and federal regulations. Monitor student progress, maintain accurate service logs and assessment data, and advocate for the academic, behavioral, and social needs of students with disabilities. Work school hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., attending staff meetings and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (Special Education) teaching license
- Successful completion of required state and federal background checks
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Ohio special education regulations
- Experience with student data analysis and progress monitoring
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and educational technology
- Attendance at staff meetings, IEP meetings, professional development, conferences, and required trainings
