Job Summary
Intervention Specialist Tier III provides crisis counseling and information/referral services via telephone, chat, text, and in person for trauma survivors and individuals facing mental health crises. Responsibilities include safety and reassurance checks, short-term care coordination referrals for primary and secondary victims of crime (including sexual assault, domestic violence, and physical abuse), and advocacy. Requires bilingual Spanish capability, associate degree (or equivalent experience), excellence in customer service, ability to work across English and Spanish lines, and capacity to handle 24/7/365 coverage with training requirements. Office-based role located in Tampa, FL, with travel minimal and hours determined by schedule. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, referrals to community resources, and maintaining performance metrics (PQI).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a human service-related field OR one year counseling or crisis intervention experience in lieu of degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with diverse populations and flexibility are essential.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Knowledge of Windows based computer systems required.
