Job Summary
Intervention Specialist Tier II provides crisis counseling via telephone, IM chat, text, and in-person, offering information and resource referrals, safety checks, and follow-up care coordination related to mental health and early childhood concerns. The role includes advocacy and referrals for primary and secondary victims of crime (reported or unreported), servicing bilingual English/Spanish-speaking community members, and maintaining high-quality documentation. Responsibilities emphasize exceptional customer service, crisis intervention, de-escalation, suicide intervention skills, PQI participation, and ongoing training. Requires an associate degree in a human-service field (or equivalent crisis intervention experience) and bilingual proficiency in Spanish. Located in Tampa, FL, with in-office, evening/weekend scheduling and 24/7 operation coverage as part of a broader crisis-response team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a human service-related field OR one year counseling or crisis intervention experience in lieu of degree.
