Job Summary
Develop and implement IEPs for high school students with moderate-to-intensive needs; provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings; adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet diverse needs; assess and monitor progress using data-driven decision-making; collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff; participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences; maintain accurate records in compliance with Ohio Department of Education and IDEA regulations; implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement; contract positions may extend toward permanent opportunities; compensation is based on an hourly rate within the stated range.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program
- Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Intervention Specialist License (Moderate/Intensive)
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
