Job Summary
Part-time Intervention Specialist in Beachwood City School District responsible for planning and delivering special education instruction to students with IEPs, managing classroom activities and behavior, and communicating with parents and staff related to student growth and achievement. Responsibilities include designing instructional lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum goals, developing IEP/504 interventions, creating formative assessments, collaborating with colleagues, modifying regular education as needed for special education students, maintaining accurate records, and participating in parent conferences. Requires Ohio teaching license, K-12 mild/moderate or moderate/intensive certification, HQT designation, background checks, CPI safety training, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Current Ohio Department of Education Teaching License
- Certification as an Intervention Specialist K-12 mild/moderate or moderate/intensive
- Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) designation in all subject areas
- Satisfactory completion of the BCII and FBI background check
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle license
