Job Summary
Intervention Specialist (Part-time) responsible for planning and delivering special education instruction to students with IEPs, managing classroom activities and behavior, and communicating with parents/staff regarding student growth. Includes instructional planning, developing IEP/504 interventions, data-driven assessment, collaboration with regular education and paraprofessionals, and ensuring safe, structured classroom environments with CPI techniques when warranted. Requires completing required licensure and qualifications and maintaining accurate student records and conferences with families.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Current Ohio Department of Education Teaching License
- Certification as an Intervention Specialist K-12 mild/moderate or moderate/intensive
- HQT designation in all subject areas
- Health requirements
- BCII and FBI background check
- Valid motor vehicle license
