Job Summary
Intervention Specialist role delivering specially designed instruction to students with disabilities, developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with IEP teams, general education teachers, families, and related staff. Responsibilities include providing direct instruction in inclusive and resource settings, modifying curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, participating in IEP meetings and professional development, and ensuring compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies. Requires strong communication and collaboration skills and a valid Ohio teaching license as an Intervention Specialist. Roles are available at multiple levels for the 2026–2027 school year, with a focus on supporting academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio teaching license as an Intervention Specialist
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional strategies
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations preferred
- Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners
