Job Summary
Intervention Specialist responsible for delivering and ensuring compliance with Special Education services, supporting IEP/ETR processes, and collaborating with teachers to meet student IEP goals.Responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction (1-on-1 or small group), developing behavior plans, assisting with monitoring interventions, maintaining Special Education files and EMIS/IEP documentation, coordinating with Speech and Language services, and communicating with principals/parents about student progress. Must stay current with IDEA and Ohio regulations, complete required forms (IEP, ETR, notices, etc.), and work toward timely compliance with deadlines and state requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure in Ohio
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/staff/community
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
- Ability to meet established deadlines
