Job Summary
Intervention Specialist in the Hartford Alternative in the Community (HAIC) program. Responsibilities include preparing, planning, and facilitating individual and group CBT-based training sessions with fidelity to curriculum/manual; conducting make-up/booster sessions; performing case management; maintaining clear, accurate documentation; inputs into the Contractor Data Collection System (CDCS) and CPA Case Management System; monitoring client behaviors and applying a behavior management system; promoting trauma-informed, pro-social engagement; developing and implementing Individual Service Plans; and participating in trainings and quality assurance to meet performance-based measures. Requires strong interpersonal, evaluation, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with clients 18+ involved with the Connecticut criminal justice system; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; must be computer literate and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of 4 years of education and experience in social services, criminal justice, or related field
- Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) group facilitation experience
- Experience administering assessments and performing case management functions
- Knowledge of criminal justice and court systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task; trauma-informed approaches; cultural responsiveness
- Computer literacy; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
- Evening availability (some evenings required: 12:00 – 8:00 PM)
