Job Summary
Intervention Specialist focused on delivering high-quality special education services to students with active IEPs, 504 plans, and BIPs. Responsibilities include co-teaching with general education teachers, implementing testing accommodations, preparing IEP/FBAs/ETRs/504-related documents, maintaining progress and service logs, developing lesson plans and schedules, advocating for students, ensuring compliance with state and federal policies, coordinating with parents and school staff, and integrating related professionals (speech therapists, occupational therapists, school psychologists) into planning and decision-making. Strong emphasis on data-driven decision making, confidentiality, collaboration, and adherence to Ohio’s model policies and practices within a K-12 school setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Valid and current Ohio Special Education License
- Satisfactory completion of federal and state required criminal history checks
- Stays current on and understands all federal and state special education policies and laws.
- Experience with data analysis
- Proficient in computer applications, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, e-mail, and internet
