Intervention Specialist Assistant - EG (Interim)

Job Summary

Conduct daily curricular activities including bus duty, lunch duty, and field trips while transporting and supervising students on school grounds and during community outings. Implement classroom management procedures, strategies, and techniques to establish consistent standards of behavior and a safe learning environment. Assist in all areas of daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, and wheelchair safety, while maintaining accurate records for IEP progress and behavior data. Communicate clearly with families regarding home visits, parent conferences, and student development. Participate in educational activities, planning, and required in-services such as CPR, MUI/UI, and universal precautions. Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Willingness to enroll in and complete Childhood Development Associates Certification (CDA), or Associates in Early Childhood (Preschool only)
  • Eligible for ODE Educational aide certificate (Preschool and School only)
  • Experience working in a Special Education classroom setting with young children or youth
  • Experience lifting and transferring of students
  • Experience assisting students with areas of daily living skills and educational programs under an IEP
