Job Summary
Conduct Special Education services and compliance by planning and delivering instruction to identified students in small groups or one-on-one. Develop behavior plans, write IEPs, and organize team meetings while ensuring all students receive equal learning opportunities. Proactively communicate with teachers and the principal to monitor progress, establish effective relationships with families, and maintain confidentiality. Manage Special Education files, complete required reporting, and update Section 504 plans yearly. Adhere to IDEA regulations and operating standards for Ohio educational agencies serving children with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/ staff/community
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
- Ability to meet established deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting
