Intervention Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct daily intervention services for students with disabilities and those struggling without special education identification, including 1-on-1 and small group instruction to meet IEP goals. Plan and deliver classroom-based support while developing behavior plans and monitoring response to intervention. Collaborate with classroom teachers, principals, and families to establish measurable goals, organize IEP and ETR team meetings, and draft or write Individual Education Plans using school software. Ensure full compliance with IDEA and Ohio regulations by managing Special Education files, obtaining required signatures, and meeting strict deadlines for evaluations and progress reports. Maintain accurate EMIS reporting and Section 504 plans while facilitating testing accommodations during state assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/ staff/community
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
- Ability to meet established deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting
