Job Summary
Intervention Specialist at Lake Erie Preparatory School supports students’ educational and behavioral goals with emphasis on students with IEPs. Responsibilities include interpreting student abilities, implementing intervention strategies, conducting diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, writing and implementing behavior improvement plans, facilitating IEP meetings and goals, aligning daily planning with research-based practices, integrating culturally responsive teaching, advising a cohort of students, and maintaining ongoing family communication, while collaborating with teachers and staff in a K-8 charter school with a focus on inclusion and social-emotional development.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license
- Experience in full room inclusion model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
- High level of comfort with growth-focused coaching and frequent observations/debriefs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
- Experience in multicultural settings preferred
