Intervention Specialist

Intervention Specialist at Innovative Career Academy to support the educational and behavioral goals of students with an IEP. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic assessments, functional behavior assessments, writing and implementing behavior improvement plans, facilitating IEP meetings and goals, coordinating with families, and ensuring progress toward student achievement and culture goals. Collaborates with teachers in inclusive/co-teaching settings, applies culturally responsive teaching practices, integrates state standards, and utilizes MS Office for communication and planning. Serves as advisor for a set of students and participates in non-instructional activities such as field trips.
