Job Summary
Intervention Specialist at Cleveland Preparatory Academy focused on supporting educational and behavioral goals for students with an IEP. Responsibilities include collaborating with classroom teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities, conducting diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, writing and implementing behavior improvement plans, facilitating IEP meetings and goals, meeting student achievement/culture goals, applying research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction, integrating culturally responsive teaching, serving as advisor for a designated set of students, and communicating regularly with families. Requires current state license; experience in inclusion/Co-Teaching; strong communication; MS Office proficiency. Located at Cleveland Preparatory Academy within ACCEL Schools network.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience working in a full inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
