Job Summary
Intervention and Assessment Specialist responsible for managing all aspects of the intervention and assessment department at Mountain Sunrise Academy. Leads day-to-day operations including facilities, student behavior in small-group interventions, monitoring student performance, planning and delivering reading intervention curriculum to individual students, and coordinating state assessments (e.g., RISE, Acadience). Collaborates with classroom teachers, oversees lesson preparation using our intervention curriculum, supervises paraprofessionals, and ensures timely completion of state-reported assessments and required documentation. Requires 2+ years of teaching experience, LETRS/reading instruction knowledge, data management and reporting skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps, and a valid Utah teaching credential or license is a plus. Must be proactive, organized, and capable of professional oral and written communication in English, including academic report writing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Utah teaching credential or license is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Experience in intervention preferred
- LETRS or Science of Reading knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drives)
- Ability to plan and implement small-group instruction
- Ability to analyze data and communicate findings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
