Job Summary
Conduct simultaneous and/or consecutive translation from English into German, ensuring target text accurately reflects source meaning while maintaining high grammatical accuracy, key terminology, and cultural consistency. Deliver high-quality audio for remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI) as needed. Address inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references, adapting to fast-paced work environments with shifting project priorities. Maintain professionalism under pressure while meeting tight deadlines using interpretation systems like Bidule. Possess native-level fluency in one of the languages and a degree in Translation or Applied Linguistics. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Interpreting, or equivalent experience
- Native speaker in one of the languages involved
- Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing
- Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language
- Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with simultaneous & consecutive interpreting service
- Experience with Interpretation systems (bidule)
