Job Summary
Weitz Company seeks internships for BYU-Idaho students across multiple U.S. project sites (Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Virginia, Oklahoma, Wisconsin) with Traveling Interns assigned based on project locations. Roles include Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Estimating/Preconstruction, Safety, and VDC. Internships provide hands-on project-site experience, location-based compensation, subsistence support, referral bonuses, a boomerang bonus for returning interns, and potential for full-time opportunities after graduation. Visa sponsorship is not available. The program is designed for students currently pursuing a four-year degree, with an emphasis on communication, independent judgment, initiative, time management, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving, and requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn software such as Procore and Bluebeam.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Candidate must be currently obtaining an applicable four-year degree
- Basic understanding of construction
