Job Summary
Collect water samples using various methods, transport them to the lab, and maintain chain of custody records. Conduct inventory assessments on endangered species and plants around Lake Blalock, monitor water wells at reservoirs with a piezometer, and perform shoreline assessments while maintaining field records. This temporary seasonal internship reports to Jon Morgan and offers hourly pay of $15.00. Candidates work side-by-side with experienced Watershed professionals to gain hands-on experience in environmental science and knowledge of the Spartanburg Water system.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergrad in Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relatable subject
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience with Excel
- Some knowledge of Chemistry or Biology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
