Internship - Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Monitor supplier performance during new equipment development and manage documentation while performing benchmarking across metal, electronics, and plastics categories. Support the ABB project team by connecting suppliers with NPI activities, monitoring execution, and keeping suppliers on track to meet GANTT schedules. Innovate by creating new tools or AI agents to improve project buyer activity management in a global environment. This internship is based in Vittuone, Italy, within the Smart Buildings division, with a hybrid work model. You will interface with buyers, suppliers, and colleagues from R&D, quality, and engineering functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Mechanical, Electronic or Electrotechnic Engineering
- proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to communicate fluently in both Italian and English
- A proactive mindset
