Internship: Numerical Flow Analysis for Milking Systems

Job Summary
Develop numerical models in Python for fluid flow analysis; compare simulation data with measured results and improve models; investigate the effect of system parameters on performance; translate system-level behavior into component-level insights; document and present findings to the team. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of system engineers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers, working on smarter and more efficient solutions for dairy farming. This is an educational internship with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in numerical simulations, validation with real-world data, and practical engineering impact at the Lely Campus in the Netherlands.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Applied Physics
- Knowledge of numerical flow analysis and Python
- Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in English
- Availability for full-time internship (40 hours/week) for at least 3 months
