Internship Coordinator

Job Summary
Advise students individually on internship exploration, applications, resume preparation, and interview readiness while guiding them through registration, approval, and reflection processes. Cultivate relationships with regional employers, nonprofits, alumni, and community partners to expand internship opportunities and coordinate engagement events such as networking programs and career fairs. Manage internship processes, records, and assessment, including tracking participation, outcomes, and data within career management systems to support institutional accreditation. Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, and career services staff to promote experiential learning initiatives and equitable access to internships. Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and prepare reports on experiential learning outcomes for campus stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in higher education, counseling, student affairs, communications, business, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in higher education, career services, student support, employer relations, or experiential learning
- Demonstrated commitment to student development and inclusive student support practices
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field
- Experience working in a small college or liberal arts environment
- Familiarity with experiential learning, internship coordination, or career development programming
- Experience with career management or student success software platforms
- Knowledge of best practices related to student engagement, retention, and career readiness
