Job Summary
Internship Coordinator/Career Advisor coordinating and delivering internship and career development programming and advising to students; educating students and stakeholders about internship opportunities; maintaining relationships to facilitate internship planning; creating a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment; collaborating with students, faculty, advisors, staff, and employers to coordinate internship credit registration and address concerns; developing and delivering programming and materials across mediums; interpreting academic policies to verify internship eligibility; ongoing engagement with campus career services community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required by start date
- Experience in education or advising
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to share complex information in a clear and organized manner to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and knowledge of approaches to student development
- Demonstrated ability to give effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences
- Experience coordinating registration of internship credits and resolving concerns
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, advisors, staff, and employers to coordinate registration of internship credits
