Internship and Work-Based Learning Program Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate and deliver activities preparing young adults for careers or postsecondary education during the school day, including soft skills development and career pathway exploration. Manage existing internship partnerships, develop new opportunities, and place students in sites with training and coaching support while overseeing stipend payments. Deliver 1-2 career exploration activities off-site and provide barrier-removal assistance through community referrals and coordination with caseworkers, truancy officers, and support agencies. Maintain program records in Salesforce, Google Docs, Excel, and Word, collect data for grants and reports, and implement outcome surveys. Collaborate with Community Schools, CTE, and PEERS teachers to foster partnerships, onboard new partners via MOUs, and maintain relationships with school staff, parents, and community stakeholders. Present at advisories and staff PDs, create marketing materials in Canva, and design referral processes for teachers and partners. Requires 2-4 years of youth workforce experience, bilingual Spanish/English, a BA/BS, CPR certification, TB clearance, and availability for some weekends and evenings.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience working with diverse youth in community and public school settings
  • Demonstrated success in providing youth workforce development programming and/or serving young adults in employment and education/training services
  • Demonstrated experience and established partnerships to implement job readiness training, barrier removal, and supportive services for young adults
  • Familiarity and experience working in or with schools and with community-based organizations
  • Understand the varied barriers first-generation students face when pursuing careers
  • Experience working in communities of color with low-income populations
  • Familiarity and experience working with undocumented youth
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • BA or BS required
  • Current CPR certification (or attained within 2 months of employment)
  • TB test clearance is mandatory before hiring
  • Some weekends and evenings required
