Internship AI Software Engineer - Flutter Studios, Hybrid

HybridCluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania

Full TimeEntry LevelMediumTECH

Job Summary

Work in an AI-first development model using coding assistants and agentic workflows as your primary way of writing and iterating on code. Contribute to full stack services and APIs using Node.js, and to frontend features using React, under the guidance of senior engineers. Learn to build on AWS, focusing on Amazon Bedrock for foundation models and orchestration services like Bedrock Flows or AWS Step Functions. Prototype small AI-powered features including LLM integrations, prompt design, and retrieval-based flows, while writing and maintaining tests, documentation, and observability. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and squad ceremonies, helping the team measure and improve how AI is used in the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or an equivalent self-taught path with a portfolio
  • Comfortable coding in Node.js/TypeScript
  • Understanding of core fundamentals: data structures, HTTP/REST, Git, basic SQL
  • Willingness to learn AWS as your primary cloud environment — including Amazon Bedrock (foundation models), Bedrock Flows and AWS Step Functions (workflow orchestration), plus core services like Lambda, DynamoDB and S3
  • Familiarity with frontend development in React (or willingness to pick it up)
  • Appreciation for testing— unit tests at minimum
  • Strong written and verbal English — able to explain what you're building and, more importantly, what you don't yet understand
  • Comfort working in ambiguous problems— willing to ask questions early rather than get stuck silently
  • Genuine appetite for agile/scrum ways of working, continuous delivery, and iterative development
  • Willingness to give and receive feedback, and to share what you learn with peers
  • Ownership mindset: even at intern level, you take responsibility for what you deliver
  • Genuine hands-on curiosity with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) — not just as a search replacement, but as a way of building software
  • Some experience — from personal projects, coursework, or hackathons — of delegating parts of implementation, testing, or debugging to AI and then validating the result
  • Willingness to write clear prompts, critically review AI-generated code, and understand when not to trust it
  • Curiosity about LLM APIs and managed foundation models— especially Amazon Bedrock (Claude, Nova, Titan, etc)
  • Interest in learning how to evaluate AI systems — output quality, correctness, latency, cost
  • Awareness that AI accelerates delivery only when paired with strong engineering judgment

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to AWS is welcome but not required
  • Any prior experiment with AI is a strong plus
  • Interest in learning how to evaluate AI systems — output quality, correctness, latency, cost
  • Any experience with relational/NoSQL databases, messaging (Kafka, SQS/SNS), or IaC (Terraform) is welcome but not required
  • Interest in TDD/BDD
  • Familiarity with frontend development in React (or willingness to pick it up) is a plus
