Internship: AI Agents for Systems Quality Engineering
Hybrid · Eindhoven, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Job Summary
Internship focusing on understanding and improving the full lifecycle of AI agents in Systems Quality Engineering (SysQE) — from idea and use-case definition to prototype, evaluation, documentation, and potential reuse. You will understand SysQE workflows, identify where AI agents can support engineers and quality specialists, design and implement simple agent prototypes or agent-supported workflows, evaluate agent behavior, usability, maintainability, reliability, and integration aspects, and document findings and lessons learned. The role involves collaborating with SysQE engineers and stakeholders, iterating on practical use cases with clear value, and contributing to the development of robust, scalable, and trusted AI-agent solutions. For Philips, onsite involvement requires in-person presence (office-based teams) with an example monthly allowance and housing/travel considerations, and the internship emphasizes learning-by-doing in a regulated medical-technology environment.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Python, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, prompt engineering, or AI-agent frameworks is a plus
- Strong communication skills and willingness to interact with engineers, quality specialists, and stakeholders
- Self-starter, capable of clearly stating opinions, and liking to redesign processes
- Willingness to work in-person at least 3 days per week onsite in the Netherlands
- Exposure to quality engineering concepts (e.g., AI-assisted workflows, knowledge management) is desirable
