Job Summary
Internist or Nursing Home Physician needed in Bergen County, NJ to provide comprehensive medical care to nursing home residents. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases, prescribing medications and therapies, immunizing patients, monitoring progress and re-evaluating treatments, maintaining detailed medical notes, coordinating referrals to specialists, providing health and wellness guidance to patients and families, and conducting research into new treatments. Candidates should have MD or DO, active NJ medical license, board certification or eligibility, and experience in geriatric care with proficiency in EHRs; a team-oriented, empathetic clinician with strong bedside manner and excellent communication skills is preferred.
