Job Summary
Consult patients to understand symptoms, diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe or administer medication to treat or prevent disease. Monitor patient conditions, re-evaluate treatments as necessary, and provide health and wellness advice covering diet, activity, and disease prevention. Immunize patients against preventable diseases, maintain detailed appointment notes, and refer patients to specialists when needed. Support patients receiving long-term care and prepare official health documents. Conduct research into new medications or procedures to control illness. Requires an MD or DO with an active NJ license and board certification. Full-time or part-time schedule (minimum 3 days/week) with potential on-call bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active NJ State Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Proficiency in geriatric medicine
- Proficiency in chronic disease management
- Proficiency in electronic health records
