Job Summary
Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns, then diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes. Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and specialized care while explaining procedures and discussing test results. Monitor patient conditions and progress, re-evaluate treatments as necessary, and provide health and wellness advice covering diet, physical activity, and disease prevention. Immunize patients against preventable diseases, maintain detailed appointment notes, and refer patients to specialists when needed. Support patients receiving long-term care and prepare official health documents. Conduct research into new medications and treatment methods. Full-time or part-time schedule (minimum 3 days/week) with competitive compensation ranging from $190,000 to $240,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active NJ State Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Proficiency in geriatric medicine
- Proficiency in chronic disease management
- Proficiency in electronic health records
- Excellent bedside manner
- Strong communication skills
- Empathy
- Ability to work effectively with elderly patients and their families
