Job Summary
The Internist at Mary’s Center will provide comprehensive primary wellness and sick care to adult patients, evaluating treatment efficacy autonomously according to quality standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare providers, coordinating patient transfers, providing consultations, assisting medical assistants, and participating in meetings and projects. A M.D. or D.O. degree and the ability to practice in D.C. or Maryland are required, along with a minimum of two years of related experience, with preference for bilingual candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a M.D. or D.O. degree
- Current license to practice Medicine in the District of Columbia and/or Maryland
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine preferable
- Minimum of two (2) years of practicing medicine in a community health clinic environment
- Experience in working with immigrant or economically disadvantaged populations highly desirable
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations
