Job Summary
Perform setup of Internet and/or phone services at customer premises, verify residential connections, and install external antennas and cabling as needed. Troubleshoot internet service issues and coordinate with schedulers to respond to Trouble Tickets and manage customer arrival times. Maintain adequate supplies on the service truck, update and program data devices, and travel to locations requiring overnight stays. Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license, work in extreme weather, and handle rotating on-call shifts. This role supports Viaero's home internet and phone services within the McCook/Holdrege Nebraska region.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- Able to work outside in various extreme weather conditions
- Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Windows-based systems and PCs, including networking setup and testing
- Understanding of electronic cabling and connections
- Experience with construction and hand tools
- Physically and mentally able to climb onto rooftops, and able to work in a safe manner from both rooftops and ladders
- Able to travel to locations requiring an overnight stay
- Flexibility to work weekends and other varied shifts, as assigned, and rotating on-call
Desired Qualifications
- An Associate's or Vocational degree in a relevant field
