Job Summary
Lead treaty and arms control analysis for senior leadership on defense operations and national security policy. Draft and assess international treaties and agreements influencing system deployment, while coordinating team efforts to perform treaty impact assessments and ensure client compliance with arms control obligations. Develop recommendations for complex policy issues and support process improvement initiatives aligned with defense acquisition activities. Provide executive-level materials including briefings, correspondence, and talking points for decision-making processes. As a member of the strategic deterrence and nuclear integration team, deliver strategic insights on emerging threats relevant to arms control.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in international treaties
- 5+ years of experience in arms control policymaking, compliance, inspections, and training
- Ability to support process improvement initiatives and defense acquisition activities in accordance with treaty requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, or Strategic and Defense Studies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading and participating in inspections, audits, and compliance training related to arms control and treaty obligations
- Experience analyzing and interpreting international treaties and arms control agreements, ensuring compliance and alignment with Air Force operations
- Experience performing treaty impact assessments to inform defense strategies and national security policy analysis
- Experience advising senior leadership on policy development, compliance issues, and emerging threats relevant to arms control
- Knowledge of Air Staff, Joint Staff, and other senior leadership structures and responsibilities related to treaty requirements
- Possession of strong analytical skills
- Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Arms control, export control, and treaty compliance certifications
- Completion of international law, defense acquisition, and process improvement methodologies training
