Job Summary
Develop sustainable strategies to manage State Street's effective tax rate by partnering with senior management across Finance and Legal on U.S.-based and global business initiatives. Research and analyze complex U.S. and international tax issues related to planning initiatives, while overseeing and mentoring the team of U.S.-based international tax compliance and provision specialists. Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, and support audit activities to ensure appropriate documentation of tax positions. This Managing Director role focuses on cutting-edge, scalable solutions for institutional investors globally.
Required Qualifications
- JD, CPA, MBA, or Master's in Tax with strong academic credentials
- 15+ years of experience at a U.S. law firm, public accounting firm, multinational corporation, or combination thereof
- Significant experience advising U.S.-based multinational organizations
- Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48
- Financial services industry experience preferred but not required
