International Tax Director

Job Summary
Lead the firm's international tax services practice by preparing and reviewing US tax returns for inbound/outbound companies and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring compliance with Forms 5471, 8992, 1116, and foreign tax credits. Consult with clients to assess US and foreign tax laws impacting entity structuring and transactions, while managing complex issues and communicating technical matters in a non-technical manner. Direct international tax planning and compliance engagements, assist the audit team with US GAAP reporting, and mentor staff on technical matters. Collaborate with partners on proposals and business development meetings to drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and CPA or JD
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant public accounting or private industry experience with focus in International Tax
- Experience with US international tax compliance reporting including foreign information reporting on Forms 5471/5472/8865/8858, GILTI and FDII reporting on Forms 8992/8993, foreign tax credit reporting on Form 1118, PFIC reporting of Form 8621, and FBAR and foreign financial asset reporting on Forms 114/8938
- Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and review within the international tax environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments
- Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
