International Scholarships Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead for the Centre for International Experience's international scholarships programs, working closely with the Associate Director to support day-to-day operations and provide guidance to international scholars. Responsibilities include advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters; coordinating meeting schedules and action items; planning and implementing curricular/co-curricular components; facilitating workshops on equity, diversity, and inclusion; conducting program evaluations and maintaining an evaluation framework; reviewing student applications for admission; and developing marketing/promotional materials. Requires a Masters degree and at least five years of related experience in international higher education, with at least two years designing enrichment programming and two years in governance/administration or co-curricular delivery. Strong organizational, communication, and intercultural skills, plus advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, forms, and data systems.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in a relevant discipline or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience working with academic and co-curricular cohorts from pre-arrival to graduation in an international higher education setting is required.
- Of the 5 years’ experience, a minimum of 2 years’ designing and delivering enrichment programming.
- Of the 5 years’ experience, a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with academic governance, academic programs administration or co-curricular delivery and design is required.
- Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in a university setting, including high-level officials is required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering events and workshops is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multi-campus international student support services and international student experience from the Student Life lens required.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and assessing student application for admission into programs is required.
- Demonstrated experience of good practices in student retention and program completion is required.
- Must demonstrate superior organizational skills, and a proven ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Proven experience taking meeting notes, writing reports, and collating data requests is required.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and intercultural skills.
- Proven experience in working in flexible environments and in dealing with uncertainty
- Demonstrated high level of accuracy.
- Advanced skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms, ROSI/ACORN (or equivalent student data systems), SharePoint, and data privacy.
