International Programs Analyst

Job Summary
Support NATO-related international engagements and nuclear policy; organize meetings, develop materials, and analyze data related to NATO’s nuclear deterrence and modernization efforts; draft and review working papers and interagency documents; administer mutual defense agreements under the Atomic Energy Act (e.g., MDA with the U.S.-UK, AUKUS); staff DASW(NM) and ASW(ND-CBD) leadership in executive roles; draft annual reports and staff products; contribute to policy guidance on nuclear accident and incident response; organize NWAIRS activities and reconcile interagency inputs; prepare briefings and trip books for senior officials; travel 15-30% and be onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, national security studies, or similar related field
- 6+ years of experience providing SES level support, working with international partners and international institutions, international negotiation or diplomatic experience; and experience with international or bilateral treaty agreements
- Experience in the nuclear field with a basic understanding of deterrence concepts and the U.S. nuclear stockpile
- Experience working with international partners and senior U.S. and foreign government officials
- Experience with analytical work in a high-visibility and high-tempo office setting
- Experience drafting technically oriented documents for senior decision makers on highly classified and complex scientific, engineering, and technical topics and subjects
- Excellent writing skills and an in-depth knowledge of editorial principles and techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to travel to locations within and outside the U.S. (15-30%)
