Job Summary
Lending Specialist Executive Director in the International Private Bank who will manage complex borrowing relationships for ultra-high net worth clients, primarily non-U.S. clients in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Canada. Responsibilities include acting as internal sales lead for credit products, partnering with Bankers, originating credit leads, handling deal analysis and due diligence, monitoring portfolio risk, coordinating loan approvals and funding, and deepening client relationships. Requires expert knowledge of complex credit products, 10+ years of credit experience, Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), cross-border documentation skills, and strong communication and wealth-management knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ten plus years of experience with extensive credit, loan and deposit products
- Expert knowledge of complex credit products (residential and commercial real estate loans, concentrated collateral loans, unsecured lending, marketable secured lending, aircraft finance, art lending)
- Ability to understand and negotiate legal loan and cross-border documentation
- Ability to develop relationships with Europe and Asia for shared clients and communicate pipeline status to senior management
- Prior experience structuring creative and complex credit transactions
- Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including investment management, trusts, and financial planning
- Sales experience including profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and assist in development and retention of junior team members
- Knowledge of capital markets and macro interest rate environment
